Ted Riser's unique one-man act will excite and captivate audiences of all ages!
Along with his vocals he plays guitar, kick drum, harmonica and tambourine in his own blend of country, bluegrass and rock-n-roll which has become a favorite in such places as House of Blues, Willie T's and Hard Rock Casinos, along with countless festivals and fairs.
Ted's performance is so powerful that it's been mistaken for a full band filling the venue - he is the whole package!
Ted Riser’s current one-man band show has been cultivated from the time he was age 7 when he began singing, dancing and acting in musical productions like The Music Man. Little did Ted know when he starred in that musical production as a child that he would become just that, “The Music Man.”
With his mother being an amazing boogie woogie piano virtuoso, and his father playing harmonica, it’s no surprise that he comes by his talent honestly. Crafting his musical skills with guitar, harmonica and drums, he has combined a skillful delivery of playing five instruments at once. Simultaneously, he plays a rhythmic drum beat with both feet on tambourine and bass drum, and plays guitar while also using the body of the guitar as a percussion instrument. At the same time, he is either playing harmonica or singing. This is one of the most entertaining musical spectacles that all ages will enjoy experiencing.
With his home base being in the Rock-n-Roll Capitol City of Cleveland, Ohio, he has astonished audiences with his solo performance at home, and around the country. The response from people in all parts of our great country... from Key West, Florida and the Outer Banks, North Carolina to Missoula, Montana... has been delight and amazement in his natural, effortless delivery. Close your eyes... and you will believe there’s an entire band filling the room with sound!
